Been CCing with the 5rd mag no spur (6- loaded) carring the 7rd as backup. So far so good. Light and compact. You really, honestly forget it's there. 25 oz. (185gr) need to find the novx rds. Would be even lighter.
Been using the factory kit holster. Need to use the serpa. Using chest rig when home. I like the grip safety and loaded chamber indicator.

Some models go on sale every now and then for cheap. Palmetto had xdm mags at one time for 12.99. Haven't seen xds that cheap, but still cheaper than SIG mags

My XDS Mod1 loves Hydra-Shok 230gr and the sights are dead on with them. My Mod2 is unfired so I have no idea what it likes lol.

Granted you could get a smaller grip for the 38 but you can't up the capacity or caliber or speed of reload. The 45 is lighter too. So....

Yep. My G30 is about the same as my Colt Agent (and G19). And with the Grock30 I have 10 + 1 on board!

Got to test it on a snake. Spooked me so I blasted it. 1st shot was ball, 2nd was snake shot. Dead. Ball grazed about 4 inches from the head, shot shell rolled em up instantly. About 4 feet or less. Got a slide bite from the 2nd shot. Stuff happens.... shot appears to do a dang good job. Cycled the next round fine.
I normally carry ball 230gr and snake shot around the house. Hp when out. I'm really liking the XDS. Ultra compact and goes boom!

They don't make the orginal XDS anymore. Now have the mod 2 xds with optic cut.

The original XDS had a recall on it;had to ship mine back and they fixed it and sent it back to me pretty quick.

Yep, mines a recall gun. Got the return # bur after reading up on it, its a non issue. May leave it orginal. Like the 3 screw rugers...lol. Shoehorned it into the galco lite rig for tonight Mobile adventure.

More test driving the versacarry holster today. Positioned with mag at 3 oclock on hip.

Used it today, just a bit bulky with the extra mag. Long holster belt rig. Other than that pretty comfortable. It would help if I had hips and a butt. Have to crank the belt down a bit, but that's a normal problem for me. Pistol set at a good angle and the extra mag is easy to get to.
Picked up a G30SF the other day, ordered the same holster for it.
@Kduly sent me a kydex holster for the G30 it's very nice. Thank you Sir!!

So far believe it or not the most comfortable holster is the owb factory one that came in the kit.
