Referring to stocks, but the same goes for all the posts when the whole brace deal was going on. Pictured with item. Included but not installed. Should never publicly post that stuff
I used to get really concerned about folks on here - but I can't fix stupid.

Should any of the infringements exist? No.
    Do they? Yes
Is the threat of prison or getting killed real? Yes

You make your decision and live with the consequences of your own actions.

Its like that guy out in Utah in August of last year.
Bad outcome, but at a certain point, people make their own problems.

A Marine Corps JAG officer once told me to never ever ever make a statement. Then he politely asked me to leave his office and not come back because if I was charged more than likely it would be his office charging me. He was a very honest man, for a lawyer. One Marine helping another Marine.

If asked to make a statement never ever because the only evidence they may have against you is your own words. That includes any and all words, photos and videos shared online, by text message and within earshot of Alexa

When people post stock is included but not installed, that implies it's not registered, legal, being transfered etc
Where do you get that idea? Do you think women are prostitutes because they have a vulva?

Would it be better to shower with the J-6 residence? I didn't say turn it over. Use the documentation at your discretion. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. IMO. YMMV.
The DA will subpoena your documentation of your crime and used against you. Again don't talk to the man. They still can't read your mind.

I totally get Longtooth's position especially being a moderator.

Gun laws are ever changing (lawsuits, pending, etc..) and most folks can't keep up to date including patrol guys, field agents, DAs, etc.. With that being said, I personally try to reach out to warn/advise if I see something that might get them into trouble. No, I'm not a lawyer and don't play one on TV. :p Just another guy that don't mind helping others.

Anything under a 16" barrel with a stock is essentially committing a felony in the ATF's eyes.
    Your analogy doesn't work here.
And stored, shown or found side by side each other it's possible "intent" to commit a felony. Intent is interpreted differently by each individual. Good luck and God bless

The subject is pictures of firearms. A photo of guns, barrels less than 16 inches, with a stock is not a crime. Event assembled in a picture. That's not a crime.
If we're are swerving in to Orwell's world that anything you think will be a crime.

Example: Tell me the crime that doesn't involve thought police?

FOR SALE SIG MPX 9MM. PRICE $40K. PM if interested. No Trades

Photos of short barrels and stocks is not a crime. Advertising to sell them is not smart in my opinion if you don't have papers.

At 40k, that's going to be a registered machine gun. Implied to be anyway.

OK opinon. Not the law today. If a democrat or Fudd is elected then all bets are off. The price is 4K. Because maybe I'll get lucky.

There is no opinion. ATF calls it constructive intent as raven mentioned. And when it's assembled it's an SBR in their eyes whether registered or not.
Was the 40k a typo and you're selling that unregistered SBR for 4k?

I'm not sure where you're going with all of this.

Another fable of the thought police.

I’ve posted this before, and it appears a repeat is necessary in this thread:

This favorite succinct synopsis is a quote from another forum:

“... Constructive Intent is not a thing.

What they can nail you for is Constructive Possession - parts able to be assembled in an ILLEGAL configuration WITHOUT the ability to assemble them in a LEGAL configuration.”
