I posted in such an ad and it's for FEDERAL folks... which some here think I am LOL. I'm just local scum LE.

yes, it would make me wonder why a fed would want to buy a gun from a civvie...or sell to one

I've bought from and sold to Marshalls, city, county. Even traded with the Sheriff of Bay County before. They're legal, I'm legal. No worry here.
Everyone has their stipulations.

Hell, if I was a cop, and looking to buy something, I sure wouldn't mention it to the seller. I mean, it's not illegal to lie about that by omission, is it? You don't even have to "cop" to it (no pun intended) on a 4473, right?

They may be operating under the assumption that if they ask them, they have to tell for legal reasons. AFT traps, lizard people, etc....
Someone they trust told them that at some point.

I deal with several LEO on a regular basis.I don't care what anyone does for a living, Here's a pic of my bud showing me his latest trade.When we first met, I asked for a GPS and he offered to meet at his job.I asked where and he said one of the local police departments,I done a trade with him there and sold ammo to one of his coworkers a few minutes later in the same parking lot.We've been buds ever since.You wouldn't expect it by seeing us together,It doesn't fit into the divide and conquer scenario the left side of the media pushes for
