Im not sure about quicker, but surely more accurate. I would think aligning everything would probably take more time visually and possibly draw attention from the target trying to align the sights.

Pistol sights were never designed to be an MOA accurate device IMO

I think that is what they were trying to make....but with out the ring...Faux ghost ring..

Centermas, Our firearms instructer in basic explained the front site this way. Looking at a naked woman through the keyhole in the bathroom door. You don't see whats behind her or the key hole. I think about that alot. Still try to see everything clear at times so things will have to change if I ever try to get into some kind of speed shooting.

+1.... my thoughts exactly. Also, the sights are only a small part of getting a accurate shot. The trigger and grip has more, imo.
