Uber's has a few military gun parts they are trying to ID. I helped with what I could ID, but need help on these parts please.

In addition, with the above parts were several Thompson Submachinegun stick magazines. Each had been altered in that the round magazine catch hole on the back was now bigger and oval. Does anyone remember what gun took the altered TSMG magazines? I believe it was some type of TSMG semi-auto look-a-like.

    Thank you,

Edited to add: Found a web site that talks about making the magazine catch hole into an oval shape to fit the semi-auto TSMG look-a-likes (they have a larger magazine catch than the full auto TSMG had)...I bet they did that to "make" people buy magazines from them instead of using cheaper surplus TSMG magazines.

The Auto Ordnance semi auto version requires USGI mags be modified by filing out the hole. Very few people go through the process of fitting an actual Thompson GI magazine catch.

Thank you. I'll let Naomi know. I do wonder about #1...seemed rather fat for an ejector spring to fit inside the bolt. Might it be a hammer spring for the M1 Carbine?
