My new 22

[PINELOG]

Recently purchased a Winchester 1885 low wall 22 lr . I have been wanting one for awhile , but was never able to find one i could examine in person. In any case i found this one at a dealer in Delaware . It is very accurate and fun to shoot . Hats off to John Browning .

I believe these particular ones were made in the late 1990s into the early 2000s . This gun was used , but in nice shape .

Those are nice, and not alot made.. In your search did you come across many of the high grades??

Nice Winchester with great wood. (Nice ammo box display too. That old Upland box,,,,,I recall shooting those and they were some good shells.)

Thanks for the comments . There are some high grades around . But the Only ones currently [ on gunbroker ] are in the $ 2000 to $ 3000 dollar range .

I do hate discussing beautiful guns on a dollars and cents basis. They are just to nice to for that.

But I find it amazing the cost of these limited edition low walls now. They are more than the original Winder Muskets which are the same thing (add a hundred years or so )

How right you are . I found this one on gunsinternational at half the normal going price . However the one i have is the lower grade version.

You know what is wild to me you can find some nice original Winder Muskets with years of history for less then the newer limited edition rifles..
