Is this one of the 2013 configuration models before they started outsourcing their parts beginning with the cr6920 and altering the lowers to look like 2013 le6920s as well as putting 2013 configuration on the box when they're not? I'm confused with the technicalities of the colt 6920 world recently. Was tnis bought new old stock recently?

TLDR: when did you purchase it new from the factory?

Not the same gun you are thinking of. Those were all rollmarked. The one he has posted is partially rollmarked/partially lasered. The serial is lasered, the Hartford Conn markings are lasered. The only part rollmarked is the colt stamp, and the safe/fire markings. This is a much later model. Also, 13629 cage markings were much later.

2013 configuration doesn't mean 2013 manufactured. It was a configuration change where they stopped including the carry handle, added the magpul rear sight and handgaurd and sold them as "2013 configuration." I believe they did this up until recently. You can contact Colt with that serial number and they can give you a date on when it was made. Under the handgaurd on the barrel will also be a date stamp.
