    Turning a Marlin Model 60 into a chipmunk size 22 Auto for the grand boys. 161/4" Barrel overall length 32"

    The little model 60 turned out pretty good but I found a couple of cracks in the wood I was able to repair them but decided not to waste much time making a pretty gun out of it it'll just be one for the grand boys to carry around on the four-wheeler

    Another reason for using the Marlin Model 60 as a boy's gun project , trim down it will actually fit inside a Ruger 10/22 stock

    Yep. I sold my 10/22 in favor of a Marlin 60. I've had a few Marlins now and they're utilitarianism is hard to beat for actually using them and carrying them all day. Lighter weight, point faster, balance better, carry easier in the hand and cycle reliably. Can't ask for much better than that. I'm currently trying to source a set of Marlin 60 sights if you got them or know where I can get them

    I do have some but I would have to know what style sight you're looking for there's a lot of different sight came on the model 60
