    I'd think you'd need to get it (bit tip) out regardless, then roll 90 degrees and redrill thru fresh metal. You'll cut thru the original hole, but filled with jb it shouldn't matter, so long as you're not going to pry metal with the spike.

    If you have a welder, weld a nut to it. Even if it's down in the hole, hit it with some wire till it builds up and grabs the nut. Spin it all out then.

    Lmao you don't weld a nut to a damn drill bit, the heat will break it. This isn't a bolt..
    It is not a bolt but it will spin in or spin out. It may be worth trying. I'll have to weld a nut onto an old drill bit to see if it will hold.

    With that sophisticated tool the best thing to do would be TIG it shut both sides, grind it down, un-temper it, drill another hole 1/4 down and then add some fancy dancy useless heat treat patterns.

    If you don't have an EDM drill bit remover.

    Just start over with a new blank. Sounds like the current one isn't going to work ;)

    I still would like to punch out that broken bit in that spot with the water jet just because I know I could..
