Looking for a variable low powered scope

Putting together a 300 BO upper and was wondering what scope I should go with? Looking at max power of 6-7 and either lowest setting of 1 or as close to it as possible. Trying to keep under 250.00.

Most shooting will occur 150yrds or less.

Are you wanting a illuminated reticle or does it matter?

i have two different LEUPOLDS. a 1-4X24 and 2-7X33. both are matte in color. both scopes have a 1 inch main tube. the 1-4 is $185. and the 2-7 is $195.
