Looking for a local gun store with a good selection. Stores at ranges and pawn shops are nearly useless.
I've resorted to online purchases since locals just usually say "Oh we would order it for you" I can do that myself.
Hate Bass Pro but may have to take a drive to Tampa...

Neither one of which is anywhere near Sarasota, so no worries

So really one has to ask what are you looking for??? My good store or show may be a living hell for you..

My wants
Knowledgeable. But no need for "operator attitude"
Good Inventory of "modern" firearms . No interest in war surplus battle nostalgia
Pricing - everyone needs to make a buck or they wont be there for long. No use for Pawn Stars
Reloading components a plus....
Indoor range isnt needed.
Local not 100 miles away....

But that is the beauty of firearms and the collecting of such.. There are 100s of different uses and desires. Hell of a hobby.

It has been a more than a few moons since I have swung though there.

In this environment its hard to judge how good a place would be in more normal times. But a couple of places I liked was Take Aim Gun range. Very much newer items and it seems alot of folks were in the place having a good time.

Another is Bullet Hole.. This seemed a nice smaller family run Gun Shop. The people running the store seemed very friendly, also the shop had a fair range of gun related accessories.
