I saw one of those revolvers at the pawn shop about a year ago. It wasn't cheap, but it wasnt 1700. I do like me some Pythons though.

    Here are my two prospects:

The Valor is used, the Specialist is new. Yet somehow, for all intents and purposes, they're the same price. The Specialist has more features, and I don't have a rail gun right now, while Valor is supposed to be their flagship, more expensive list price and more desirable. If I can't tell the difference in build quality, it'll be the rail gun since I don't currently have one and had a small incident the other night when I wish I had a rail gun. Can't wait to see them. What do you guys think?

I gotta keep my Python, it was the paw-in-laws. I am anxious to know how that Les Bear shoots. I had the eyeballs on that one too. Let me know if they are worth the money. I might have to jump on that one when you get tired of it.

I want a rail, but I also want the best. Supposedly the Valor is their best offering. If the Specialist is just as tight and smooth, it'll be that. If not, it'll be the Valor followed by a TRP operator.

Les Baer is BY FAR the best value in 1911s, but it's classic non-tacticool style isn't for everyone. The fact that they can produce AND handfit these guns so tightly and precisely is mind boggling. The reason I'm not getting another Baer is because I already have one, and haven't owned a Dan Wesson.

Love Pythons, but they're for collectors, and I'm a shooter. Good, used Baers can be had for $1500. They really should be $1k more than they are. Scoop 'em on up, boys.
