Firearms from Kel-Tec have some of the best aesthetics out there, cool features, all of that (I even owned a KS7 for awhile.)

But are any of them legit enough to consider for serious purposes, or are they just guns for fun?

Some of Kel tec's offerings are seriously good guns, specifically the P40 comes to mind.

Personally I haven't had problems with my KSG yet but I'm still under the 400 shell mark. I had no issues with the Sub2000 either but ended up selling it which I regret.

Have a couple sub 2k, one 9mm Glock mags one S&W 40 mags and a ksg14. All have been 100% reliable and very innovative. Sub 2k stays in backpack with me when working on a roof or in air in case someone wants to kick a ladder out and try some slick $hit. My employees make fun of me thinking I am overly paranoid, but I call it barely prepared.
The S&W 40 sub 2k had a recall. Had it back in less than 2 weeks and sent me 2 magazines for the trouble.

I carry a P32 as a backup gun 3 outta 5 times I’m carrying something bigger. If I’m making a quick beer run or out to my mailbox or any what I consider “low risk” places I’ll carry it as my primary.
Never had a single issue minus one stovepipe when it was brand new. Have fired probably 400+ rounds since with no problems.

I have (or had) several Kel-Tecs:
    • SUB-2000 (Gen1, Glock mags)
    • P17
    • P3AT
    • P32
    • PF9
Only one that ever had any issues with, was the P3AT .380, which was several jams, FTF, FTE, etc. Never one hiccup from any of the others.

I bought one from a friend for $100 (P-32). Didn’t think much of it at first. Then I shot it and it ran great! Now a backup gun or one I shove in my pocket for around the house.
