Just got a peek at the new Benelli 828 O/U shotgun. It looks to have the same style locking system as the old round steel pin locking system as the Beretta. While waiting for my Brownings to arrive in South Africa I destroyed two Beretta O/U rental guns with the same locking system, so am not real impressed with that system. It looks like they also have put a false, moving, recoil shield in this gun. I would have to actually look at that business in person to see how it works and to understand the reason for it, based on how it works. That looks like an answer to a question no one asked. The new gun's MSR is $2,500.
Right now I will stick to the Brownings. They are almost indestructible and my 32 inch 525 20ga is an absolute killing wand.
