This user sent me a private message to share the email of another supposed member here who had a part I was looking for. I emailed that address and the person said they were in Colorado and would ship the parts to me. I politely said no thanks. Just a heads up, be careful out there. The part was an all original M73 scope and mount for a M1903A4 for $250, that really made it smell fishy!

It very well could have been legitimate. I know members here that travel back and forth between Nevada and Idaho. A rare item like that might only have one or two for sale in the whole country. I personally have called somebody 1500 miles away who I knew had a M1919 T+E for sale two years prior... for a gun that wasn't even mine. Just doing a favor. Did you at least contact this guy in Colorado?

We banned him within minutes so that's why the messages don't show. I'm worried one of these days they will figure out how to include malicious links in the messages. That will really cause issues for whoever clicks on them.

Glad you didn't lose any money. We had a member lose some money to a scammer just a few months ago. :/
