I have a serious Sig sickness going on...

I picked up a new Sig 2022 this week. Bud's had them for $399 shipped. WITH night sights!

Last week, I bought a M11A1 - GREAT gun. I actually swapped out my night stand gun for the M11A1

And, the week before that, I got a Sig 226 :clap2: with an E2 grip. This was the first time a Sig 226 fit my smaller hands (with the E2 grip)

Now I have 3 Sig pistols:

And damn if I didn't buy a Sig 516 carbine on May 31 of last month

I know how you feel, the Sig bug bit me when I purchased a surplus P6, then followed a P228, P220 & P226. I stuck with the old folded slide models for nostalgia.

Nice "bug" to have. Could have been worse...you could have caught a 1911 virus. Lol

I have a love/hate relationship with 1911s, had a 70series Gold Cup regretted selling it, Colt officers model hated it, it would only shoot ball ammo, had Kimbers & SAs now all gone, only thing I kept was the Delta Elite. Even though they fit my hands real well, when I think about buying another one, I have to remind myself it's a single stack, their usually picky on ammo/mags, so sooner or later it goes to the gunsmith to get it running right.

Ah the Signess...luckily mine isn't as bad as some others...but I got the Sig M400 and that's where it started...then I had to have the Scorpion 1911..then of course they had the buy 1 get 1 so I ended up with 1911 ultra 2tone and 1911-22...luckily funds won't permit my Signess to get any worse...I do eyeball the MK25 and P938 whenever I get a chance tho

I also have smaller hands, as does my wife. How does the 2022 fit for you?

It fits fine. It comes with a medium and small backstrap. The small comes on it. I switched to the medium before shooting. I may try the small the next time I hot the range

Ok, I went and fired about 200 rounds thru it. Functioned 100%. No issues. I have the same issue with my thumbs like I do with the 226 - I inadvertently touch the slide release.

Gun has a 6 o'clock hold like my 226. I'm used to "driving the dots."

I did pretty good at 15 yards once I got that down.

Double taps work well on the 2nd shot. Recoil is a bit more than the other Sigs - but it is a polymer framed gun.

I will admit that I like my 226 and M11A1 better, but this gun is 1/2 the price. I got it to be a cheap truck gun. So, it fits that bill. Once I get the rebate magazines in, I'll have 6 for the gun.

If only they made a p227 sao.
I might stick with a p226 sao until they do.
I do have the two little Sigs. One for me and one for the missus. Cute isn't it. Yuck! Lol. Great little guns.

I looked at the 226 SAO, but the grips on it make the gun too fat for my hands. I also like Sigs and Berettas BECAUSE they are DA/SA. No, I have decided to stick to that type of gun.

I've got pretty sizeable paws, but I've never handled the 226 sao, 226 handles just fine for me, but the sao would give my thumb a place to live. the 227 is supposed to be a tad thicker.

Best feeling gun I've ever held was a double stack para, but 1911s are like steaks, a cheap one, probably won't be very good, so I passed.

I love sig products but Im not a fan of da/sa, I can't ever hit anything with the first shot. I've always blamed my pistol sharpshooter ribbon on the M9's first shot. Lol.

I have gotten hooked on DA/SA with my Beretta 92s. I have factory D springs in it. With some rounds thru the gun, the DA pull drops down to around 8lbs. I love that trigger iN DA
