I hope all my friends in the path of Milton are OK? My home in Ocala received a lot of rain and wind but we never lost power and no damage to any homes in my community.

I feel for the folks were the storm made landfall and hope all those folks are OK. As far as me staying in Florida, this is my home now and hurricanes and tropical storms are part of living here. I will take this over snow, ice and the cold weather up north any day.

Happy it wasn’t near as bad as it was made out to be! It could definitely been worse and was pretty bad, especially on the south side which usually is the East side!

I lost power on Wednesday about 2 pm and it is still out.

The winds on the back side of the storm were terrible, 90+ mph.

But no major damage to my home, some soffit blown off and limbs to pick up.

My father in law in the Tampa area did fine in Milton, but had 4 feet of water running through his house from Helene. He will be recovering from that for a while.
