Not a glock guy. But... since the striker is never fully cocked on a glock until as you pull the trigger, I imagine it's for different felt pull weights
Both of those gents are correct. Fun to try different springs for lighter trigger pulls for range toys. Don't mess with Glock perfection for serious use IMHO.
They got it right. Factory is 5.5lbs. I run a 4.5lb in my competition gun, but any lighter I started getting light primer strikes. I overcame it by getting a skeletonized titanium striker with a long point, but it wore out pretty fast and I just got used to the heavier pull rather than constantly buying expensive parts.
Ok, thanks. I was wondering if it added to the resistance when cocking.
G26 project requires a lighter recoil spring due to adding a comp. Didn't know if adding a lighter or heavier striker spring would be a way to fine tune it.
