    I read a comment that was like "It's a 17ish slide on a 17ish frame!"

When we gonna get a 17 slide on a 19 frame??? Or on a 26 frame?!

I thought the glock 45 and the 19x models had this configuration of a 17 grip with 19 slide/barrel? Now we have the same again with the coming 47? Or am I misreading something? Time for google.

    tl;dr
19x is gen 4 and only comes in tan with a lanyard loop and no front serrations. 47 is gen 5 in black with front serrations and no lanyard loop.

Watched the video. Glock is still not giving us what we want like he said. 17 slide on 19 frame. Yes you can do it with this new gun but it requires buying 2 guns or still a grip chop.
They need to make the “19L” available from the factory as one gun

I hadn’t considered that configuration before. I suppose the interest is the sight radius and velocity of the 17 with the easier to conceal 19 grip?

The new Glock for the year.

All the GunRagTubers will be singing it's praises no doubt.

I'm sure it'll be a good one, but I'm fine with the 19 and 45.

Until I went back to an STI as a competition gun I was waiting patiently for them to make the Glock 24’s for sale again. Apparently they only make them in batches every few years.

And the question... Why??? New sales?? Market saturated?? G2, 17,19 are still the best ones. Ha!
New sales would be my guess.

They needed to make it to match the DHS requirement and have likely fulfilled that initial need - they know people will buy it and it's "the new Glock" so it'll sell regardless.

I never got the allure of a longer barreled pistol in 9MM for HD/SD/CCW. Sure the boom of doom 10MMer and others, it makes some sense. Especially moving to RDS and "mah sight radius" argument goes out the window as well.

But I'm sure these will sell great, like all 9MMer GlockenPistolen...
