Glock 17, believe it is Gen 1

The serial number begins with KF. Trying to determine the value. I am the original owner and have box & 2 mags. Doubt I want to sell it at this time.

Oh and got my hands on one about 6 months ago or so and that thing was mint, too nice for me to appreciate because I abuse my Glocks.. Sold it to a dealer in LA for like $750 I think.. maybe $800 I cant really remember. Basically worth what someone is willing to pay.. They are getting rare but not even close to being as rare as the unicorn of glocks, the Gen1 G19. Ive never even seen one and those will bring BIG money...

good picture the value does really vary depending on the condition and wear.. but if its a gen 1 and you decide to sell it let me know id be interested

I have a Gen 1 G17, and my ole man has the G1 G19......I since have handed mine down to my 14 year old. I may have to do some investigating....

KH corresponds to December of 89.

Gen 2 came out in 88.

I could swear that my 17 has smooth grip which according to your pic dates in Gen1 but I got it fer Graduation from the Academy in 93. Now the G19 my ole man has is older but I'll look when I go over there and take a pic fer non-believers....hahaha

After further review of the date I purchased, I believe it is a Gen 2, as it was purchased early 1990. Here are the pictures, I have been tied up at work.

Definitely a gen 2. Gen 2s generally sell for less than gen 3s since there is no rail. $400 to $450 is a fair price.

Alot of people mistake the two. Now if your dad has a gen1 19 I know a guy that will pay up to $2k for it, depending on its shape maybe a lil more or less...
