I was once road testing a police car in Fort Worth after doing repairs on it. I got out on the loop and drove 45 mph. No one would pass me. I felt powerful, like Thor when he does that.

I used to be a service director at a Ford dealer who had the ccounty contract for the sales and service of all county PD cars. I road tested their cars several times weekly and always laughed at how nobody would pass me whether I was going 10 mph under the speed limit or 40-50 above it!

That happened to my spare tire on an old S10 in California. Thought I'd gotten rear ended when the cable broke and dropped the tire out the bottom of my truck bed and lifted the whole back of the truck up at 45 mph as I high sided on the bouncing tire! Slammed on my brakes and watched a tire roll down the hill... with no other vehicle around... and all four tires on mine... took me a second to figure out wth happened
