why before isn't the best deals at the beginning right or dead last?

Vendors buy from other vendors (before the event opens) if it is a good deal, mark it up, and place it on their table.

So - If a bender offers to buy it then you are likely way under priced.

I know people who used to buy a table just to go through first. They would not stay to sell anything.

You are correct but I'll adjust it just a little more for others that dont quite get it.

Vendors "Retail gun store owners" buy from other vendors "private collectors/local guys that got 1 table" and then mark it up and put it on their table.

I never see Retail gun store owners buying anything from Retail gun store owners when Ive been there setting up for a show.

Sounds kinda like flea markets.
Several years ago a friend of mine rented a table at T&W to get rid of some stuff.
He backed his truck up to his table to unload and the regulars swarmed him. He sold everything he had without even unloading. They recognized an amateur.
