In an attempt to redeem myself for my mis-post (#17) I'll add that I already have the only lever gun I ever really wanted...a Marlin 1895SS 45/70 I purchased new in 1988.

I have an 1894BB in .375 that may be the sweet spot......but I'd like to have two Brownings;

1886 .45-70 26" with a vernier tang sight
1895 .30-06 24" with a Lyman 21 receiver sight

1. Marlin 1895 SBL 45-70 - there's something special about the stainless look and the nostalgia of the 45-70 cartridge (I liked this rifle long before Chris Pratt showcased it in Jurassic World)
   1. At some point would love to do a Mad Pig Thumper Conversion
2. Henry Big Boy Color Case Hardened Carbine .357 Mag/.38 Spl Side Gate - the classic look of this rifle along with compatibility with my 357 sidearm has great appeal
3. Big Horn Armory Model 90 460 S&W - I love the appeal of a chamber that can take multiple cartridges for flexibility and offers big bore power. 460S&W, 454 Casull and 45 Colt is a great trio.

I have the following which all are utilitarian for me.
.22. Henry GB
(2) .357 Rossi
30-30. JM Marlin.
45-70. Marlin

We have rifle scabbards on the saddles. Nothing feels more home than a lever rifle on your horse in the mountains of New Mexico.

A 44 mag would be nice, but really the next one
E on the list as a pleasure buy is a 50-110
For no other reason than fun.

I'm looking for a nice JM marked 336 Cowboy in 38-55. Getting pretty scarce. I have a nice 1894 CB in .45 LC and an 1895 CB in 45-70 with the old fashioned style scope on it. I also have a nice 444, and an 1895G ported. Both JM and the 1895 like new in the box and unfired I believe.

My favorites. A legacy model, Winchester, 94 in 38-55, 26 in. barrel. I got it right before they stopped making the model 94s. I also really like my Uberti Competition model 1873, .357/.38. Shotgun butt stock, short stroked, and had the forearm laser engraved.

There is no such thing as an affordable lever rifle. They never were as accurate as a bolt gun or the capacity of a semi auto. But they have nostalgia and with creative marketing they have become double what they are worth most are chambered in calibers that do best inside 100 yds. I bought more than one 336 Marlin in 30-30 for under 200 bucks not that long ago. Now they are a thousand bucks? Wish I had bought ten in 1990

I know this isn't a lever action but it's the apple of my eye. I believe it's a 1948. Mod 61 Winchester, 22short, 22long, 22lr. A tack driver with that old Weaver Scope.

Well there's quite a few people out there who have their second hand used up charge for some reason... that's on any gun, car, woman..

Got mine for the most part. Winchester 94 Trapper top eject in 30/30, Marlin GBL 45/70, Marlin Stainless Trapper in 45/70.Could always use a Winchester 86 in 45/70 and a Winchester Chief Crazy Horse in 38/55

I have a few in my collection now, but still 3 on my list. A Marlin in 38-55, a Henry Long Ranger in .243 with iron sights and the new Fightlite Herring Model 2024. While not a lever gun, I would love to have a Remington 141 in 35 Remington just in case anyone has one collecting dust.

Sorry I have No dreams for a lever gun and I feel left out. So if I had to have one it would be a
Pre 64 Winchester Trapper in 45LC with case hardened receiver.
