How much would you estimate it is in weight? I am thinking new base for my flagpole, something else I can use to piss off the HOA.

Breakout the ole welder and right hunk of pipe you could make it look like a cannon. Place it in the back of a pickup and ride through town.

The OP (thank you) kindly sent the pics to me so I could share them with several knowledgeable individuals (cannon owners/shooters/destructive device owners/makers). None could recognize it as being gun related. Best guess was part of a machine used in bending metal. That's not to say it isn't gun related, but none could ID it.

The ability to tilt it up and down is gun-like, but the ability to cant/rotate the top portion isn't gun-like. It isn't listed in a mount book. It doesn't seem to have any mechanism to handle recoil either. I have a fascination with guns with big bores, and if it is gun related, the OP's price seems like a bargain.

Are there any maker's name/marks/ID plates on it (perhaps covered up by paint) that would help in the ID? I have one other person I need to get the pics to that is a retired metal worker.
