The clothes to keep you as cool as possible are no joke. The shoes are iffy... Mine worked a little too well at the last MPSA match. I was making a long run and when I tried to stop, my foot planted and I kept going.

I added a pair of SpeedCross 3's to my amazon cart this morning. The Fellraisers are nice and lightweight, but might be a little too breatheable with all of the mesh. I end up with tons of dirt inside my shoes by the end of a match.

I wore mine to the ERGC sandpit over the weekend and had minimal dirt in mine. I was kinda suprised, although I didn't do much running around and quick stops/turns either.

Haha this thread is awesome. Clicked in to see what all the traffic was about and its all clothes.
I'll be going to my first match of any type in a couple weeks, I'll be in a $5 tank top, fishing shorts and a pair of hippie canvas shoes (only because my wife won't let me buy crocs). Will you guys still hang out with me.

We're discussing the important stuff!

You'll want shorts that hold a belt and shoes that will stay tight on your feet so you don't end up with brass and rocks in them.

Like a normal belt? I use a few of the 5.11 nylon/metal belts of my normal use. Is that good enough?

Yeah, that'll work. Just something capable of holding an extra mag, should you desire.

I wear flip flops or these canvas slip ons every time I shoot or do anything outside really. Sometimes boat shoes if I need to look fancier.
