Got it for a pretty good deal I'm hoping. I just don't know much about it other than ww1 comm. Anyone have any idea of value? The guy I got it from says its never been fired and that looks to be the case. I could have researched more but thought it was a good deal and didn't want it to slip away. Thanks for the input guys.

    Id say right at $1k.
I'd shoot it, I don't think it's collectible or expensive enough not to, and if it was, I'd have no use for it, but that's just me. I wonder if it'd feed hollowpoints. If not, or if the trigger is the usual Colt gritty nastiness, they can both be easily fixed.

Cabelas has one for sale. Think they want 1299 for it. Been sitting a while though. Like Dan said they're not particularly collectible. Would be a good shooter with some work.

So I got a deal at 450? Thanks guys. Yes Dan now I have two gritty nasty colt triggers for 1911junkie to work on. Although its not as bad as the combat elite I bought a few weeks ago.

$450 is a steal. Yeah, triggers are no problem at all. Colts have good solid parts in them that take well to skilled work.

I still don't think I will shoot it. I've got plenty of guns to shoot and I don't want to blind everyone at the range. It really looks like it belongs in a movie, not a shooting range. Maybe if they pass open carry here in florida I can wear it when I get gussied up. Lol
