Yes, but they are going fast. When they are gone -- there will be no more. I picked up a like new all-matching Springfield Armory in .30-06 the last trip. Now, I'm wanting one chambered in .308

If you are going to buy -- I suggest getting the Service Grade (what I bought). Much better condition than the Field Grade. Currently, the .308s are only offered in the Special Grade, and go for a little over a grand with shipping.

I might have to drive over there. Never knew about this place until now.

I stopped by the CMP store this morning since I was working in the area. The placed was packed! Evidently, people arrived last night & camped out at the door for a chance at one of the rare and highly sought out "sixes" Garands when the place opened.

These are rifles with Springfield receivers in the 6 million serial number range that were built up in the 1950s as National Match rifles used in matches.

I was fortunate enough to be able to snag one. There were about 6 of them left when I arrived shortly after 8am, but the CMP was limiting buyers to only one each.

    Bummer! ;)

Kinda thankful I got my M1 when I did. Paid $600 for it off of Gunbroker (about 8-9 years ago). It's in the 1 million serial number range, dating to November of 1942. All Springfield parts too.
