Need some suggestions on how to boost cell service on and I-phone with some sort of external antenna. I use AT&T and some places on my hunting lease I don’t have any service. I’ve looked online briefly and see where there’s different gadgets that can be used. Would like some input on what works the best.

I built a 5000sq. ft red iron shop (all metal) and had no signal inside. I did a bunch of research and landed on a SuperBars system. It was a bit to get it set up correctly but it does work and we can use our phones inside now.

Here is a link to the unit I have: https://amzn.to/3BGxrAx

If the area you are talking about is in the same location (like a pole barn or the camp spot), this would work. If you are talking about covering the whole property, this probably wouldn't work since it works like a repeater and would only work a smaller area.

If you have internet and wifi there, you could try using wifi calling if the calls are what the issue is. If you don't have internet, Starlink may be an option (at a fairly high cost) but it does work good. I have had mine for about 8 months now and it works good. Nothing like my gig connection at work but way better than DSL or hotspot on the phone.

Yeah, that's kind of what I gathered. I know they make these same type systems for vehicles but it would require some sort of power system (12V battery and a solar panel). Then you'd have to mount an antenna up high to get whatever signal you have there and send it down. With as much trouble as I had getting everything set up on what I put in the shop, I could see that being a real nightmare.

I'm not aware of any "magic" stick on passive (non powered) booster that actually does anything.

Sucks that we are so tuned in to technology these days that we can't get away from it. I'm guilty, so saying "man, just put it down and enjoy nature" wouldn't seem right. I remember when I hunted in Camden years ago, I'd have the Nextel USB dongle in the laptop, sitting on the hood of my truck on the highest hill on our lease so I could check emails.

Good luck on your "hunt" and good luck hunting this season.

We have the same issue with some of our cell cams. Not alot can be done in the wilds. Back to the good old days of CB radio or jump around with phone in the air and one leg stuck out. We used external antennas on the cams. 12 feet up the tree, half ass works. Sucks. Put a whistle in your pocket.

I’ve got an external antenna ordered for one of my Muddy cameras that comes with about 20’ of cable. I was watching this 6 point from 50 yards away this morning about 6:40, the Muddy didn’t send any close up pics due to zero bars of service, 1 bar on my phone, snapped a pic with my phone, AT&T service seems to come and go with the wind here

call at&t, ask for a mini cell tower, it will boost your signal to 4-5 bars from 1-2 bars. covers about 50-75 ' from your house

if they tell it costs money, threaten them with going to another carrier, they will probably fork one over. the big at&t store in pensacola has them.

they told me $300 once, i told them to keep it, then the next time it was $150, then i got it free.

I’m sitting in a mobile shooting house on an old road this morning, built it on an old military trailer frame, my 7 and 9 year old granddaughters painted it just before deer season came in, they did a great job, I bought the paint and cut out some leaf stencils and turned them loose. Have watched many many deer sitting in it this season, it’s tight and right, with plexiglass windows, no drafts, can stay dry on wet days, got several more mobile houses scattered about the hunting club. Some days I just don’t feel like climbing. I like to get off the beaten path and hunt old dead end roads and creek bottoms where others had rather sit on the plots. Guys in our club wear the plots out, and I’ll sit on some myself but not day in and out like some do so I set up my own little honey holes to sit, lol.

Haha, that made me think of old Red Holland doing satellite tv commercials about 35 years ago, Red would hold up that galvanized wash tub and rotate with it hollering “come in satellite”

Hunting lease is 8 miles southeast of town. Probably know or know of your uncle.
