Got it together. Was a bit apprehensive about assembling this. Pretty dang easy. Only lost the 1/2 of the fp keeper once, located it on TOP of the refrigerator..... wonder how many are in low orbit around the earth?
The channel liner slipped right in, I had the tool and everything. Gave it a light tap to be sure it was really all in? Normal??

Slide release is really a booger to use, very stiff. I always slingshot it anyway so no big deal. Also must have an extended mag release.
Comp would not work because of the larger end of the guide rod. It contacted the comp. No worries can put on something else.

Installed the new 16lb factory spring and 1:16 barrel. Slide cutouts are almost sharp, won't lose your grip for sure.
Trigger is good, not as good probably as the lighting trigger I ordered with it. May install it later.

A little stiff, hitchy on hand cycling. I'm guessing new parts. Slathered it in rem oil.
Seen lots of bitchin on the web about the giant, huge grip area. Fine for me. Grip texture is fairly aggressive.

Test firing, 115gr fiotchi.g19xgrip and magpul. No sights yet, ( have the suppressor height poly ones) have to locate the holosun. Lol. I'll pull it apart after and see if there's any odd wear.

Sights on, thanks for the sight tool loan- @Kduly . G19 holster is a great fit clears the suppressor height sights! Love it! It's just about 1/2 inside on the barrel, optic will clear when I find it. Moving makes me crazy. Crazy is the nice word.

Looks great! Lots of hand cycling to smooth out all parts is a must with all p80s. The "break-in" period..lol

Wait!! The ejector plunger is in the wrong way. The spring should be facing the base plate not the extractor on the slide. Remember? Metal to metal, plastic to plastic

Test fired. Had some fte's, stove pipe. Magpul mag worked great. G19 with x grip not so good. Fte, ftf. My grip was shifting the mag. Slight fore, aft wobble.

Now that I know I missed a part in the assembly makes sense. Also new parts getting broke in too. Only 50 rds so far, seems accurate. I can't lay my hands on the holosun 507 Getting worried. Found the sds box for the G40. Hoping I did not leave it above the refrigerator in the old house. Could have sworn it was in the console with the G40 and the sds box??

Pulled apart for inspection. Slight ding in the end of the slide, probably from futzing with the comp. Brass stain. Have to get the short plunger to fix the ejector.

My M&P .40 is ported. It's OK for competition but the flash and report take some getting used to. I swapped in a 9mm non ported for target and g.p.. The 9barrel is threaded, so I could add a comp to the end if I wanted to tame the recoil.

Boom!! Very cool. Fits the G19 holster great. Big thanks to Kduly! You can see the suppressor height sights but they are low in the window. So not blocking the view. Optic is a Perfect fit on the slide 0 wiggle. Also checked the channel liner. It's seated. Just have to get the ejector rod bushing end and will be all assembled. Sight in and testing next.
Little more weight than the P17 .22. I can lighten this up by using poly bullets. Definitely know its on your hip.

Do lots of reading on the comps. If you don't have to change the recoil spring it's not really doing anything except adding weight to the front so you think it's doing something. Ymmv.
