The dog that found his Doe with no training was a Catahoula Curr and Lab mix!

She can close one nostril and turn her head side to side doing that, it's crazy.

A few years ago I had a little beagle that was the best trail dog anyone in this area had ever seen . His reputation preceded him for several county’s. Land owners that would not normally allow folks on their property would make an exception for him and me to locate deer that had run in to their property. One old man always accompanied us when we ask to enter his property, I said to him , you can rely on the fact that I’ll not shoot any animals on your land . He said , I know that , other wise I wouldn’t let you on my place , I just like to watch that little fella work . To my knowledge he never failed to find the deer he was trailing. and he never rode in the back of a truck , he earned the right ride In the comfort of the cab .

Get on the tracker pages on FB. A good dog will be able to track it down, or tell you if the deer is gonna live to see another day. The trackers are pretty quick at responding.
