    Sounds about right...

I recently ordered a 500-rd. brick of .22 LR Match Ammo over the phone from a 100% legit dealer. They were having problems with some aspects of their website, which directed buyers to phone in orders on certain items. I called it in, and didn't ask what the total with shipping was going to be, since I really needed the ammo, couldn't find it anywhere else, and thought "How much could shipping possibly be on a brick, anyway?" Note that their website said that they only charge actual shipping costs, as well. (shipping weight was 4.4 lbs.)

Checked my card later to see if the charge had posted, and... viola! It was right at $30 shipping via UPS! : )

Overall, it was still not a bad deal, but damn... next time, I may just drive to Tennessee to pick it up! : )

Yup, shipping rates on pretty much every carrier have gone up dramatically unfortunately.
And what hasn't? I watched a video from PA last night where the guy said a dozen eggs were going for $8 wholesale up there! And chickens were $25!

    Crazy...

    Gotta love the WalMart/Sam’s “math”...

    “Oh look! $4.08 a dozen!”

Nope. That’s an 18-count pack. More like $4.08 for SIX eggs... $8.15 a dozen. At SAM’s.

    Wtf...
That's what I was thinking... unless they mean you get TWO 18-packs for $12.22, and even then the "per dozen" price is still two cents off : )

I think a lot of increase cost comes from diesel fuel prices. How is diesel, a less refined fuel than gas, costing over a dollar a gallon more?

Makes me think price gouging, but I am not sure. Any insight from someone with oil industry background?

Are taxes higher on the evil diesel? That I think I can research.

Be a good way for socialist to hinder/cripple the economy!

It's pretty ridiculous. What was 12 dollars to ship an air sample turned into 16 after covid and inflation. It had been 16 till a few weeks ago. Now it's 21. Too high of an increase.
Whataburger recently went from 1.89 to 2.39 on a sausage biscuit. Percentage wise, that's a huge margin.

My wife and I stopped at Wendy’s to eat the other night. Haven’t been in there in a while.
The single combo that I used to get for $2.99 is now $9.50.
Their $5 bag is still a decent deal and that’s what I got.

Quarter pounder with cheese meal at McDonalds is now 10.39 for a small meal. A double super sized was only 3.99 years ago. Starting to feel like my grandpa lol

    Jeeeez. Who buys that stuff?
    I’m not paying $10 for a dry McDonald’s hamburger.
I can go to a sit-down restaurant and get a great hamburger for $10 or $12.
More like $15... plus 20% tip, or they hold you hostage now : )
