This is on a utility pole in Blackwater River State Park. Krul Lake. Does anyone know what it is for? Just curious. Practicing my situational awareness, lol.

I'd guess a photocell for some lights and/or cameras. Is this near a gate or building?

Id think its either a Photocell or some sort of weather sensor like they have in cars to tell the temp and some of those basic readings.

Looks like something is missing based off what looks like two wires that were cut. It would probably make more sense if whatever was connected was still there
