I had my last squirrel hunt of the season today, since I work weekends. Squirrel and rabbit season ends March 6 in Alabama. I got zilch, but I stopped by a little pond for a cast or two, and got surprised by this gal. That's a 5 gallon bucket she's next to. She went back in the water ASAP, so I have no official weight or measure.
Getting back to the squirrels, I hunted the Blue Springs WMA, in the Conecuh National Forest. I didn't even see a squirrel, but I did hear dogs barking and a shotgun go off, so I hope someone had better luck than me.
Now I start preparing for next year.
