Ok, I just learned more in this article than I have in two years on the subject.

I don't have an AR-15 (yet) but I'm always looking at 'em and learning. I saw and saved the link because hopefully it'll come in useful one day.

Great article. One thing to keep in mind, is that when these guys are running optics, they're not Sightmark, TruGlo or Primary Arms. I have however, seen people not be able to finish a match due to optic failure, or take forever because they lacked a rear sight, and usually it's a "lesson learned" kind of deal.
FWIW, I like a true cowitness height Aimpoint Micro, and YHM QDS backups.

I've got a set of iron sights I took off a S&W AR. I may reinstall them and mess with a cowitness setup.
