I have a 4.5 ft ball python in my classroom, but I am moving on from teaching and my wife says no snake in the house. So I guess my snake will have to go too, the end of this school term.

A sense of humor is important here. And in life. I would find life much tougher if I was offended by everybody’s humor. IMHO

As both someone who has had snakes as pets and eaten a fair share of them - it’s ok to do both.

I can’t have a snake pet now, but would not turn down some cleaned rattler.
Or the possibility of a nice hatband or wallet?

Have you explained it's actually probably less active than a pet rock?????? If you need to rehome it, PM me, I can put you in touch with some responsible keepers.
