I had a TLR-4 laser/light combo break while shooting it at the range. It was on a colt 1911 in 45. The gun/light has never been dropped or beat up.

It is the smallest light they have & its made more for a compact weapon. I originally purchased it for a G 30. I am thinking that may have something to do with it breaking. The bracket that holds the light to the gun is smaller then it's larger counter parts TRL-1,-2,-3. The plastic side of the bracket is where it broke.

Anyone else have an issues with a streamlight?

I hope they do not give my a hard time but fear they will try to blame me some how.

I have several streamlights. I'd bet money they will fix it. You will have to pay shipping to them, thats should be all. Here is their contact page.

Call them and explain what happened.

    Phone 1-800-523-7488 1-610-631-0600

I have sent them several Stingers over the years with switch problems, pretty sure the housings are covered under the life time warranty.

Update: My new TRL 4 showed up today. They did not even ask what happened. I went ahead & bought the larger size with the metal clamps.

I am thinking the steel gun had bit to do with it breaking. It lasted around 600 rnds total some on a G30 & the rest on the 1911 rail gun.
