Im fairly new to the area and my girlfriend and I are very interested in hog hunting. I've always had access to private land, so this whole hunting on public lands is a bit freaky to me.

We do have a boat if that helps.

Any pointers for first-timers hunting public land???

You will be better off on Escambia or yellow river management areas. Hogs are few and far between on blackwater.
