    frame and slides are R I and the barrel is a roto .all internals are wilson combat .Im gona load some 185 hornady and see what speed i get .I hope it gets over 1100. I think im gona respray the slide black just to much green what yall think . thanks for the coments scott

    Very Cool Piece. Excuse my ignorance, but other that the obious WOW and Cool factor, what are the benifits of the long slide on a 45acp?

    You can achieve higher velocities, for one. There is also the potential for greater accuracy because of the longer sight radius and most likely less muzzle flip due to the added forward weight.

    Thanks for the awnser, I suspected the less flip, wasn't sure how much velosity may be earned with a few inches of barrel. I had an AMT longslide in the 80's and didn't grow to love it, but it was an AMT and they had problems. I have a S&W mod 19 in the same color pattern OD/Black nice looking set up.

    How are you guise building these? How come no one ever shows their work? Didnt they teach you to show your work in math class?

    Other than that, it looks like a fine job. I like the looks of the black slide better.

    old man taught me how . he built his first one in the 60s and it took him 15 years to make it work. i have built 3 and have two more on the bench that should be done this weak. thanks for the thoughts shag
