Without question, in my opinion, the finest 1911 on the market.Glad to see there are some Les Baer fans here.
Certainly, the best 1911at its price point. Some folks like Les, others don't. But there is only so much that can be done to the 1911 from a mechanical standpoint. Baer seems to have cornered that market, IMHO.Without question, in my opinion, the finest 1911 on the market.
Some 'purists' also look down their noses at 1911s in 9mm, .38 Super, 10mm...some look down their noses at 1911s with 80 Series parts, adjustable sights, front cocking serrations, rails, etc. There is something for everyone to like and dislike.S&W are definitely overlooked in the 1911 space because "purist" look down their nose at the external extractor.
I’m DEFINITELY one of those “purists”. To each his own. Some 'purists' also look down their noses at 1911s in 9mm, .38 Super, 10mm...some look down their noses at 1911s with 80 Series parts, adjustable sights, front cocking serrations, rails, etc. There is something for everyone to like and dislike.
And some really hate scales...

You’d have never guessed he was smart enough to build such fine pistols huh. With his sixth grade education…Les Bear, I liked him in the Beverly hillbillies.
Uncle Jed may have had something to do with the pistols….You’d have never guessed he was smart enough to build such fine pistols huh. With his sixth grade education…
I would look into seeing if they fixed the frame cracking issues that the older 45acp glocks had before getting oneThis seems like a pretty good deal for someone that needs or wants a great 45 ACP. Police trades are usually carried a lot and used very little.

I never heard of frame failures on the Model 21. Are you saying if it's a generation 4 it's not an issue?
I think there were some issues with G3?, can't remember, but I'm sure glock would make it right.I never heard of frame failures on the Model 21. Are you saying if it's a generation 4 it's not an issue?
When I was aircrew on helicopters I carried a .45 1911 in a holster sewn on the inside of my nomex flight jacket by the parachute shop. It worked fantastic and was WAAAY more comfortable than the old GI chest holster! In a shoulder rig or chest rig it would be easy. Anything can be used with the right holster!
