About to start Gunsmithing certificate

I am about to start online schooling to get my gunsmithing certificate and was wondering if the fine folks here had any advice for me before hand?

Which school? You may want to find a local experienced gunsmith and see if you can do an internship so that you can also get some hands-on experience. Good luck!

I am doing online with SDI, which is my best option for with me working Full time.

SDI is what you make of it... seen good and bad grads. pay attention, do extra, ask questions and put forth your best effort! there's a lot of members here if you have questions or need advice/help. we will all support you because we want younger people comin' up behind us to carry on in our field. best of luck to you and work hard!

Do you have the tools necessary to be a full service gunsmith i.e. milling machine, lathe, drill press, etc.?
