Second that, but I'll have mine with a side of "operator" :D

A third...eeerrrr fourth for the TRP. I've always wanted a TRP, but after shooting Doc Meade's I couldn't get them out of my mind.

I just bought a TRP Operator today to go with my LW Operator and my two Colt Combat Commanders.

There are so many choices out there right now that it can be daunting. FWIW; Chuck Rogers and Ned Christiansen have both said that the 1911s coming out of Colt recently have been some of their best ones ever from a quality vs. value standpoint.

That's good news. My next .45 will be a colt that I customize. I love the one I have now, but I'll likely transfer my custom trigger, Clark bushing and the bomar adj sight. over to it. 1911s are like race cars, you can spend as much as you like on one.

yeah, in 1976, my dad gave a Colt Combat Commander for graduating Marine Corps bootcamp. 2 yrs later, the only thing original on it was the slide and frame.

Yep, I have a 1991 Commander like that, a friend gave it to my wife when she was in her "1911 phase". I traded her a Beretta 92 for it when she decided she liked shooting them more than the 1911. The only thing original is the slide, frame and barrel; everything else is Ed Brown and C&S.
