700 VTR 308 after market stock

I read a post a while back about somebody getting good results with and aftermarket stock. I have the "desert scout" model with the digital camo, looks great but what a crappy stock. can anyone point me to that thread?

There have been a few threads about that. Low end of $ is boyds laminate 90-150$ ( I highly recommend these ) or on up from there to McMillan , Bell Carlson, AICS or McCree. Anywhere from 400-2000$. 1911 junky built a badass rifle in a Boyds a bit ago. Look in the gunsmithing section.
