BUT not as bad as you would have, so like I said, be part of the solution or a part of the problem...they divide us and we are done, toast, fini!

Well said Frank! We must stand together and fight the best way that we can!

I have been a member of the NRA for some 40+ years. I do not believe in allot of positions they take or the way they go about getting a certain result. HOWEVER......they have a huge lobby. If they knock on a Senators door they are allowed to enter. I want to be a member of a lobby this strong.

If the represenative of the Pensacola Alliance of Gun Owners,200 members strong, knock on the same Senators door what do you think will happen ?? The same people that will poo-poo a person if they vote for the third party candidate will join a pro-gun group that has a lobby 1/20th as strong as the NRA. HUH !!! --- SAWMAN

Good comments guys. I believe that with the recent slap down the anti-gunners will work that much harder to sneak something through the back door. We need someone there to hammer the gopher every time his head pops up.

Obama Blames U.S. For Gun Violence In Mexico

"But at the same time, as I’ve said in the United States, I will continue to do everything in my power to pass common-sense reforms that keep guns out of the hands of criminals and dangerous people. That can save lives here in Mexico and back home in the United States. It’s the right thing to do," Obama added.

I am sure most of you know this. An Armed revolution is the last thing anyone needs. The anti gun people would love for it to happen. It would give them an excuse to say all gun owners are nuts & the revolutionists would be labeled terrorists.

Nonviolent resistance is the way to go.

The only way to win is to hit them where it hurts, the pocketbook. I would much rather see something like all gun owners not going to work for a day as well as not spending any money on anything.

The NRA has proven to be effective.

I thought the statistic of the people polled was interesting as well. Would be nice to see the stats on the age of those polled.

Contrary to some opinions here, I think multiple organizations can be better than just one. Some senator who is afraid to be seen with an NRA lobbyist might have time for a concerned rep from NAGR or GOA. That's why I send money to all three organizations.

If you are a member of none of these, then you need to get off your rear. Skip that $10 movie ticket and send the ten to someone who can help rather than give it to some anti gun Hollywood people. Skip one trip to the range, and send that money, too.

There is not going to be an armed revolution, but if we don't get those liberals out of office, they'll take our guns while they bankrupt the nation with food stamps, free cell phones, luxury apartments, while taxing us until we give up and die.

Yeah and how many Jews were killed? When there is not an armed response the Country goes commie/socialist with the guns confiscated and the people subjugated.

I think we are referring to two different things. I am referring to current gun control efforts & you seem to be thinking of something much more radical. I am thinking along the line of background checks, magazine restriction, & AW Bans.

I understand some believe that the government is about to take drastic action such as registration, & confiscation of all guns. I personally believe that will have to be much farther down (50 to 100 years) the road for it to ever get passed & Put into action. The article talked about the next 4 years.

A good example of a non violent resistance was the civil rights movement. Just think how it would have turned out had they took up guns & decide to start a violent revolution. It would have been squashed & the participants would have been called terrorists, traitors, & legality treated as such.

Just think if some radical group in Connecticut attacked & took over the governors office because of the AWB. What a nightmare for the rest of the Gun community.

Yeah NY and CA are already confiscating weapons and other state may soon follow. Think they are doing it now, so what will you do IF they came a knocking? 75% will turn over their guns I am betting.

I won't turn in my guns, but I'll give em all the bullets they can take.

Learned something in life... If you keep getting pushed, pushed and shoved and shoved, you're eventually going to realize that the only way to deal with it is to turn around and knock the shit out of the bully who's pushing you.

The are not confiscating all weapons.

It will not happen in one big action it will be little by little over a long period of time. It will take several generations of people being raised with little exposer to guns for there to be enough support for a total ban on all firearms. IMO

I like to think that the more extreme the proposed bill (like a total ban) the more people who will actually turn out to oppose such a bill. Making it increasingly harder for more restrictive bills to pass.

You know what the say about opinions though. They are like Assholes everybody has them & most stink.

As for if they come knocking I will refer to this quote.

"He who knows when he can fight and when he cannot, will be victorious." - Sun Tzu

The math is supposedly simple, only about 3% of the population took part in the fighting in the Revolutionary war.

3% of the current US civilian population outnumbers all military and law enforcement combined by roughly 4 to 1

(and that is assuming all military and law enforcement will magically forget their oath and blindly follow orders)

Also unlike rag heads who seemed to like to spray lead, most of the 3% actually know how to aim first.

Going down in a blaze of glory and that trusty green laser by your side no doubt! Like ole Ted Neugent. He said they may find him dead in a ditch but he will be laying on a pile of brass from his machine gun!

I have no expectations of dying in a revolution. What is more likely is having to defend-like businesses had to in the LA riots-against the "poor" when the inevitable cuts to their life of luxury and leisure happen. I am tired of paying for free cell phones, Internet, cable tv, luxury apartments (which the occupants promptly destroy), for people who choose to not work. Those are the jobs that illegals hold now, because Americans are so well paid for not working. When that stops they will riot and we will need our ARs and ammo to protect ourselves!

That just may be what starts the whole thing. When they completely crash the economy and the sheeple and illegals and leaches in our society who think all food comes from a store and all money comes from the Gov start rioting because they are out of food and money it just might be the beginning of the second “shot heard round the world”

Without getting into some of the tinfoil hat stuff that is out there, there are numerous valid benefits to the ruling elite if the economy crashes. And for those that don’t know, the current administration has recently quietly green lighted giving sub-prime mortgages and auto loans again.

Since I'm getting a bit old I did not think it would happen in my lifetime, but the way things are going it seems more likely with each passing year that it will.

And if it’s going to happen I would much rather have to do it than have my Grandkids do it.
