Does anyone know where I can get my .223 Rem reamed to .223 Wylde? I could buy a reamer and try to do it myself, but would rather have it done by someone with gunsmithing experience.
I would like to be able to shoot 5.56 out of my Remington 700 SPS Tactical.
I live in Walnut Hill, so closer is better, but I do get to Pensacola occasionally.
    Thanks in advance!

Are you only looking to shoot factory ammo? Hand loaded ammo can be resized to fit either chambers. Most bulk produced 5.56 ammo is not worth putting on paper. Maybe 2 MOA at best for the 55FMJ offerings. I have a compass lake 223 reamer that chambers 5.56 with a heavy bolt close.

there shouldn't be a heavy bolt close. If the brass it sized properly it should close easily if the chamber is correct.

you maybe able to just throat it...maybe @oneshot could help

I am wanting to shoot some heavier 5.56 loads. Palmetto State and Freedom have some 60-77 gr loads I would like to shoot that are quite a bit less expensive than similar .223 loads. Not really interested in bulk 55gr.

I have read that the Remington 700s have a slightly longer throat and some have shot 5.56 out of them with no problem, but I don't want anything blowing up in my face. Just wanted to be safe and throat it to Wylde.

I have had zero problems shooting MK262 with the tighter 223 Compass Lake chambering
ahh...if I don't watch it and debur my brass real good it won't load in my Compass Lake Match Chamber...that's a different kinda tight :D

Call Rick Rankin (850-469-1790), the gunsmith on Garden St. See if he has a reamer. I know he can do the work if he has the equipment.

Before you get started , why not ask these reloaders [PSA & Freedom] to what psi they are loading these rounds ;55,000 or NATO's 62,000.
