It's been mentioned in other threads, but I haven't seen a dedicated one yet.

How is everyone's cell service today? Mine's out.

Edit: Will not having easy comms change the way we carry on with our day as normal?

Mine was on network when I looked at it around 0830.

Without a land line, all coms would have to go over the internet if cell towers went down. If network and cell crashed, no coms for most I would guess.

One of the many reasons I pay to keep a landline.

My wife and I are both on ATT and on iPhones. Hers is newer than mine (but not the newest) and she wasn't down for as long as mine was. Her conjecture was that they pushed out an update and it affected connectivity with older phones and as the hotfix gets put out it should settle down.

We have much different personalities in that my first thought was a cyberattack, and hers was that it was a bunch of dumbasses that didn't think to include older phones in the update. It reminds me of the "Never attribute to malice that which is more easily explained by stupidity," or something close to that.

And all of them this time will carry large EMP generating devices.
Consider ALL of your daily activities that depend on computers , from your car to ; food storage , your house's AC and stoves , ect.
Consider having school age kids at home , no cell, no pc, no cars , no TV , ect.

There was a book about this, where things kept blowing up and "Terrorists" were blamed. Turned out it was just no one knew how to maintain infrastructure anymore and the "powers that be" wouldn't admit it. Reminds me of South Africa Or Zimbabwe.

Yall have prolly considered this but I’ll mention it anyhow. We’re already starting to see the effects of a few decades of diversity hires being put into positions they haven’t earned and don’t deserve. There’s even a name for it already in my circles it’s referred to as the coming “competency crisis”. In practice our country along with all other western nation are complex systems operating inside of larger complex systems operating inside of larger complex systems. This is starting to break down because the decades of diversity hires can’t maintain these systems and it’s only getting worse from here lol. If you’re not familiar with the fourth turning theory you should prolly get familiar with it asap.
