Being I am horse trader, I came across a good deal on a Glock 43 with 7 Hyve extended mags, night sights and original box I traded my extra G48 for today.

Got my NRA mag . read the article about FIOCCHI American Ammunition was very interesting. one thing that catch my attention was it said they would sale to buy groups, this something to think about , I was wondering if we could get enough people up to do a group buy from them. Just my 5 cents jj
Depending on the caliber, lead time and volume I'd be interested.

I did find a tidbit about my M1889 Danish Krag's rifling. Take the bracket symbol "[" and rotate it 1 quarter turn clockwise so it looks like an upside down open box. Because my barrel is not marked with that symbol in front of the receiver, it means it was not made with sharp edge rifling, but with rounded rifling. Thus the rifling may not be worn as it might seem.

Regarding the original metal finish, early photos of Danish infantry appear to show rifles with a bright finish, not darkened by blueing or browning. The finish of the center rifle, especially around the receiver, looks bright. Other rifles look bright finish other than the magazine door of the lower right rifle or it could be the angle its being held at. Of course how the metal looks could be influenced by the b&w or sepia photos, as the bolt handles look bright whereas mine is darker. Some rifles on auction sites definitely look reblued with a uniform 99-100% finish on all metal parts.

From the May 1958 American Rifleman:

One rifle looks bright; one hard to tell.

Went to the range today and ran 50 rounds thru my used Glock 43 I just picked up, I found a nice one with night sights, a little holster wear and 7 extra Hyve mags for $400 and decided to sell the like new G43 I already had and keep this one for my EDC rotation. The pistol shoots great and all the extended mags cycled fine with no issues. I like the smaller G43 over my 43x for carrying and was surprised on well it shoots. This was at 8 yards defensive shooting.

Ignore the messy bench. My stock came in today and I got it all fitted together. Just need the ATF to quit holding onto my cans and Ill have a nice quiet little 22 with an 18.5 inch barrel. :)

Anyone have any ideas on a muzzle device while I wait for the ATF to finish approving some paperwork?

Went to the local gun shop this afternoon on the way back from from riding my Honda Trike. Been looking for a 357 mag snub nose revolver in stainless steel. Hard to to find a nice one at the moment.

    Thanks, my biggest to date!
My identical twin brother and I took many nice deer when we lived in Michigan. Both with Muzzle Loader, Rifle, Pistol and Bow. He passed away in May 2021 and we did everything together, it’s hard to go hunting without him being there. But I still enjoy seeing folks getting a nice deer.
