A good friend of mine was going into his stand early before daylight over in the river swamp, during early bow season. He had a trail that he would use to get there. As he was easing in he tripped over a log that hadn’t been there the day before. He got out his flashlight and low and behold he was standing next to a 16 foot gator. Thank goodness it was cool enough that the gator wasn’t active.

The midsize ones scare me the most. Those can actually lift up and run really fast. Crazy how far it traveled
