Worked with the 350 legend some more, a seating depth adjustment tightened up the group some. Ten rounds at 70 yards from a rest , a pretty decent group for subsonic I think . That first round low and left shot is a mystery I haven’t been able to solve yet.

Ruger American Ranch rifle ,bolt action, 180 grain Hornady XTP , starline cases . Winchester case necks are to thick to work with .357 diameter bullets in this rifle.

I sized and cleaned 20 .243 cases to start ladders again with the 80gr TTSX I got for it.
I sized and cleaned 20 6.5WSM cases to start ladders again with 140gr ABLR with Retumbo and US869
I sized, trimmed and cleaned 100 .44SPL cases...I think I have 1/2 box of Speer 185s for it
Finished trimming the 30-30 case I had...need to size, trim and clean the one I got here too since I found a box of Hornady 150gr RN

Had a fantastic day testing Swedish rifles with my cast bullets and powder salvaged from Swedish wooden bullet ammo. Using the same load as what shot nice in the M38 yesterday, it shot nice in the M96, M96/38, and M94/14. All I had to do was write down the different sight settings needed for each rifle with the new load. I had hoped it would shoot good in more than one rifle, but it worked well in all of them. Now I need to pull the wood bullets out of the remaining 4400 rounds of ammo.

Doing some quick math, I paid 4.5 cents for each round. I got 10 cents (or more if one counts what powder sells for now) worth of powder out of each and a primed case (berdan). I came out ahead in this one. I'll have powder left over when I've shot the 4800 cases, enough for another 4800 rounds of Swedish reloads in my boxer primer brass. I'm using 11gr in my reloads. An average of 22.2gr of powder are in each wood bullet case.

Will save and sell fired brass for scrap.

FWIW, firing a wood bullet round, it was noticeably louder than my 11gr cast bullet load.

Loaded 40 rounds of 44 Mag using H110 for 10, Blue Dot for 10, Win 231 for 10 and Tightgroup for 10. Started with all of the powders minimum charge for 5 then up a 0.5 grain for 5. Used CCI 350 magnum primers in all 40 to start working up a load

I would GUESS,that your best groups would be with a med/hot load of H110 and CCI 350's.
Just for fun - -> try a max load of Trail Boss using mag primers. --- SAWMAN

What's that one on bottom? I miss my matching pair of 659's I had in Maine. Polymer guns can't hold a candle to the craftsmanship in an old Smith. I sold the 659's when I couldn't find a Camp9 worth it's salt to share mags. The Camp9 was the only PCC I could ever get my wife to like, but the one example I found for her was a jam-o-matic. I'm holding out for an M1 Carbine in 9mm to have her try... I just missed one here, I know
it is a 3913, only single stack 9mm I own and a sweet shooter. wish i had kept my 1006

My .44 Marlin shoots middle of the road H110 loads almost in the same hole with 240gr Nosler JSP and JHP...need to check the speed on them.

I might try Trail Boss since I have so much

Really too bad that more manufacturers do not offer pistol type chamberings in lever guns or single shots.

Cleaned several ARs. The one with the most rounds (200) you could barely tell it had been shot. The chrome lined barrel and nickel boron BCGs in today’s rifles really make a difference

Did you take the bolt out of th e bolt carrier ??
That is where I find the most dirt and/or carbon buildup.
I clean the bolt tail and fwd of the gas rings with light oil and fine stainless steel wool.
After 200 rds if that was not dirty... well ... you got one of them rare self cleaning guns. --- SAWMAN

Nickel BCG's are a game changer, but a lot of people just dont shoot enough rounds in one sitting to notice the difference. I wish I could find a nickel BCG for a piston AR... overkill, I know, but I bet I'd never ever ever need to clean it, only lube it once in a while
