As title states. It's a fairly new cartridge offering but figured I'd ask local before I order online. Willing to travel as far as Pensacola to get some of this Ammo. Looking for both 77gr and 55gr. If anyone knows of a shop that has it in stock (meaning doesn't have to order it in), that would be great. Thank you.

Which firearm do you have in this chambering ??
If 6.8SPC brass had been used I would have one already. It is an "interesting" chambering. --- SAWMAN

It's a like .243win case scaled down and necked to a .224 projectile but I have to use 6.8spcII mags for it. And it's for an AR platform. It's the fastest shooting .22cal chambered for AR on the market. It's going to be my varmint gun.

Hopefully (for me anyway) they will have a 1:8 or 1:7 twist.
How will they compair to a 223WSSM.
    22" bbl . . . 1:7 twist . . . 65gr+ bullets = really interesting. Got plenty of 6.8 ASC mags already.
Wondering . . . how can this be. The 22-243 has been around for years and years now. --- SAWMAN

I believe the one I ordered is a 1:8 twist. Can't recall off hand though. And I'm looking forward to trying some 52 ballistic tip boat tails. If my math is right, they should be screaming at right around 3600fps. That should do inferring things to a ground hog inside of 500 yards.

From NOSLER - - -> Looks to be 6.8SPC brass with a rebated rim so as to be able to use 223/5.56 bolt face.
Soooooo . . . same bolt as 223/5.56 and same mag as the 6.8SPC. Should be interesting however not much vel over a 223AI,guessing,about the same as the 223WSSM,and falls behind the 22-243 . . . but CAN be used in a small lower AR. --- SAWMAN

Yes, that's correct. Published load data states 33.0gr of CFE223 will push a 55gr pill at 3,518fps using around 93% case capacity. That's screaming. Hoping to shoot it next weekend. Need ammo still.

It's built on a Spikes upper/lower and the barrel is an Odin Works 18" DMR.

Please keep us informed how it shoots.
For this chambering I would think reloading for it would be optimal. Hopefully the twist rate would be somewhat fast. There are quite a few 22-250's being built with 1:10 twist bbl's nowadays. This is much better that the origional rate of 1:14 twist but for me,faster is better. My pref would be 1:9 for the 22Nos. This, plus a 20-22" bbl. --- SAWMAN
