I kind of have the philosophy my Grandaddy had about politicians: If voting could change anything, they wouldn't let you do it.

We're all concerned that voting for the third party candidate draws votes from the other likely candidate and then so we DON'T vote for the third party candidate, BUT WHAT IF, you could REGISTER your vote on a particular site that had integrity and vote for a candidate and you could see how your vote and all of the folks who thought like you do aligned with all the other votes for the more principled third party candidate was starting to add up and overtake one of the other bad choices (Democrat or Republican) we might then have a real choice, but how could we be certain the process wouldn't get hacked.

Already the company (FOREIGN company!!) (at least in previous election) that owned the proprietary right to the software of the election machines which wasn't allowed to be reviewed, has been proven to already been hacked in previous elections. At least in Florida we have a paper ballot that can be RECOUNTED, but where they use all electronic machines, you could program the machine to have every third vote for Candidate A could be a vote for Candidate B. Who is certifying these machines? Last election it was reported that some of the machines were carted off in a truck without proper supervision to make sure that no one tampered with them until they arrived at the certified counting facility.

In a previous election year, a supervisor of elections (Democrat) in the wonderful People's Republic of Maryland didn't vote at the correct precinct and also didn't certify that the counters in all of the election machines had been reset to zero from the previous election in which they were used. I DON'T TRUST electronic balloting only. What if there's a problem? Y'all come on back, we gotta do this again!! Right! Just run the ballots through again like in Florida, only keep out the hanging chads! Boy what an embarrassment THAT WAS!!
